September Wedding at Duncton Mill

Season:

Location: Duncton Mill

Photographer: Philip Bedford

As a surprise, Tim's parents organised the transport of an old bike as a way to get to the church. The basket on the bike was filled with all the chosen wedding flowers. This was later transported as an extra decoration at their venue. It is a good idea if you can get someone to help after the service to move the floral decorations to the venue so you get the full benefit of them.

The church service was held at St Mary's church in Lavant. Pew ends were decorated with Sunflowers and finished with a bow. Two pedestals decorated the gorgeous church - later these arrangements were also transported to the venue and placed on milk churns in keeping with their wedding theme.

The reception was held in a marquee at Duncton Mill - a beautiful setting overlooking the stunning fishing lake. A decoration was made for the entrance to the marquee - a gorgeous way of welcoming their guests.

Table decorations were very simple with different spirit bottles all different shapes and sizes with many keeping in the theme of their wedding in blue. A single stem of Sunflower or Gypsophilia filled the bottles. Jam jars filled with flowers were used to decorate the evening food tables.

Tim & Meg

Tim and Meg were a fantastic couple to work with, lots of energy and they both knew exactly what they wanted for their wedding flowers. The theme was yellows and blues - Sunflowers are a favourite of the Bride. Blue Delphinium, Cornflowers, Gypsophilia and Eucalyptus were the chosen flowers used throughout.
